Clare Holland

Clare Holland died on Wednesday, September 7, 2011. She was 66 years old. She was born in London, England in 1945 and was the daughter of Terry and Jean Delaney. She was the loving wife and partner of David Holland and the loving mother to her daughter Louise Holland and her late son Jacob Holland and a devoted grandmother to Sarah, Robin and Evan. Clare lived a life that was filled with love and caring for her family and friends and with her love of music and the musicians that play it. She had a boundless energy that was applied to her many interests and was an articulate and intelligent conversationalist. She loved to debate the issues of the day and always had time to help a friend or family member to think through a problem and would offer her thoughtful and often unique perspective of the situation. She was an enabler and had a tremendous empathy for other people. She would always put the needs of others ahead of her own and often said that her needs involved caring about others. In her life she touched many people. She traveled the world with her husband and people that she met still remember conversations they had with her that had a big impact on them. She admired honesty and integrity in others and tried to live her own life with those qualities. She will be missed and we are thankful for the time she spent with us.
