Clara M. Davis

Clara M. Davis, 89, of Kingston, NY, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017. Born October 8, 1927 in the Town of Olive, she was the daughter of the late John B. and Ivah (Beesmer) Davis.

Clara was a graduate of Ellenville High School and the Spencer Business School. She had been employed by the U.S. Department of Defense as a Quality Assurance Specialist. Her duty station was the former Hercules, Inc. in Port Ewen, NY. She attended the Wesleyan Community Church in Shokan. She enjoyed reading, sight-seeing trips and in her earlier years, ice skating.

Clara is survived her sister, Helen Davis of Kingston, with whom she resided, her brother, Frank Davis and his wife Charlotte of Accord, several generations of nieces and nephews, as well as her sister in law, Doris Davis of Kingston, and her brother in law, Clarence Elmendorf of Olive. She is predeceased by her brother, Kenneth Davis, her sister, Alice Elmendorf, and her half-brother, John Davis.

Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Kingston. A graveside service will be held on Saturday August 5th at 3pm in Fairview Cemetery, Stone Ridge, with Rev.
