Claire A. Walling

Claire A. Walling (79) of Kingston, NY, passed away in WMC Hospital on the 18th of August, 2022. Claire was born in Bronx, NY on the 2nd of July, 1943 to Josephine and Joseph Foster. She attended Dutchess Community College and was a Dietary Technician for Ulster County. After her initial cancer diagnosis in 2005, she spent years fighting the disease with surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and immunotherapy. She has found peace.

Her passion seems to always have been with cats and dogs. She loved them. She volunteered for the Ulster County ASPCA for years and was integral in placing many four-legged friends with their forever families.

Claire is survived by son, John Walling of Danbury, CT, daughter in law, Vicky Walling, grandchildren Abichael and Aaron Walling, other son, Thomas Walling of Albany, NY, son in law, Lester Rosenzweig and their son Jason Rosenzweig. She is also survived by her niece, Dr. Melissa Baker, her husband Andrew Baker and their three children, Sophie, Lyla and Jackson of West Orange, New Jersey and nephew Chris Raymond of New Windsor, NY. She was predeceased by her parents, Jo and Joe, her late husband Bert Walling, sisters Irene Healy and Jeanne Raymond.
