Christine A. (Smith) Venditti, 55, of Esopus, lost her battle to cancer on July 17, 2008 at her residence
Christine was a beautiful woman who loved unconditionally and gave to others incessantly. She worked as a school nurse at the Ulster BOCES where she not only put a ban aid on cuts, but healed hearts. She was often referred to as "Mom" and was recognized for her hard work and dedication to her students by the Mid Hudson School Study Council Excellence in Pupil Personnel Services Award in October of 2007. Even in her darkest times, she always found the humor in life's journey and never stopped smiling. She was a free spirit who loved life and never took a single day for granted. She enjoyed the simpler things and was happy to spend some time in the garden, read a good book, or go for a walk on the beach. Her most cherished times were spent with her children, family and friends.
She was a graduate of Mary Mount College, Virginia. Christine was a communicant of Sacred Heart RC Church in Esopus.
She was born November 10, 1952 in Queens, NY. to Joseph Smith and the late Patricia Denman Smith.
