Christina K. Kirk, 74, of Albany Avenue, passed away Friday afternoon, April 13, 2012 at her home.
Born on November 27, 1937, in Kingston, NY, daughter of James and Marjorie Keith, sister of Jean Evans, who passed away in 2011.
Chris was a lifelong resident of Kingston. Chris worked as a nurse in Albany and Kingston, NY.
She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Kingston, NY. She was also a member of the Kingston Garden Club, the Junior League, the Skyllkill Needlepoint Chapter, the Kingston Hospital Women's Auxiliary, and she volunteered at the Fred J. Johnston House Museum and was a docent for the Country Seats Tour.
Chris was an avid reader, she loved to travel and attend the theater, and she loved her family, who loved her and are grateful that she is at peace.
Chris is survived by her husband Dr. Kurken V. Kirk, her loving children Michael Kirk (Maureen), Karen Kirk Ranney (Robert), Kristy Kirk Petersen (Dan), and her grandchildren Duncan Kirk, Jocelyn Kirk, Heather Petersen.
Chris will be interred at the columbarium of St. John's Episcopal Church. A memorial service to celebrate Chris's life will be held later this summer in Kingston, NY.
