Chester M. Schramm

Chester M. Schramm, 79, of Hurley, NY, died Monday, August 9, 2010. He was born March 19, 1931 in Williamsport, PA to the late Chester and Helen Schramm.

He was married to Doris D. Schramm who passed away in 2002.

Chester is survived by his son Kevin Schramm of Albany, NY, a daughter Julie L. Schramm of Hurley, a daughter Terri L. Williams and her husband Bill of Saugerties, a granddaughter Lindsey R. Williams of Saugerties and brothers Carl and George of PA.

He is predeceased by two sisters.

Chester served his country during the Korean War in the United States Air Force.

After his honorable discharge he worked for IBM in Kingston before retiring in 1986.

Chester was an avid hiker and was a member of the Rip Van Winkle Hiking Club, The 3500 Peak Club, The Pine Hill Beagle Club. He also loved to fish.
