Cheryl A. Stedner, 57, of Olivebridge, NY, passed away Friday, December 16, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. She was born November 8, 1959 in Kingston, NY and was a Kingston High School Graduate, Class of 1977.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, John Stedner of Olivebridge, her father, Edward Smith and his wife, Jeanine of Roxbury, NY, her sister, Dorothy Halbohm of Esperence, NY, her brothers, Gene and Christopher Frichette of Kingston as well as her niece, Jessica Halbohm, and her nephew, Steven Frichette. She was predeceased by her mother Elizabeth (Bouck) Smith.
The animal world lost a true friend with Cheryl's passing. She loved all animals, big and small, but her dogs were her true passion, especially her Dalmatians and Labs. Cheryl was involved in K-9 Agility for almost 20 years, competing in many trials each year with several of her dogs, especially Lukas, her yellow lab and Simon her chocolate lab. She was a member of the Skyline Agility Club and Lab Rescue of the Hudson Valley.
Entrusted to the care of A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave, Kingston, where friends and family may visit on Tuesday December 20th from 4pm to 7pm with the service starting at 7pm.
