Charlotte Martin

Charlotte Martin, 79, of Olivebridge, NY, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at her home in Olivebridge, NY surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 11, 1943 in Queens, NY and was the daughter of the late Adolf Muller and Charlotte Spreeman Muller.

 

Charlotte was married on September 21, 1968, to Donald E. Martin. Once married, they moved and settled in Chichester, NY. After that they purchased their homestead in Olivebridge, where Charlotte enjoyed raising animals on their small farm.  They enjoyed 32 years of marriage before his passing in August of 2000.

 

Charlotte worked for New York Telephone Company, in her younger years.  Once settled in Olivebridge, she became a homemaker and a small farmer raising animals.  She loved everything, nature, and animals. From goats, to sheep, to chickens, a few dairy cows, a pony and over 200 rabbits. She especially loved her three German Shepherds. Becky, Heidi and Minnie.

 

She is survived by her loving companion Howard Cox, her beloved pups Annie and Tootsie. She is also survived by her son Thom (Michelle) and Andy (Heather) of Olivebridge. In addition to her children, she was loved very much and is survived by her grandchildren Evan(Towson, Maryland), Owen, Kaylin, Bradley and Daniel (Olivebridge). Additionally, she is survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews along with her two sister-in-laws, Nina Muller (Pawling, NY) and Ann Martin (Hudsonville, MI).

 

Charlotte is preceded in death by her loving husband Donald, her father and mother and brother Robert and brother-in-law Clifford Martin.

 

A private graveside service will be held for the immediate family members and a celebration of life will occur during her favorite time of the year when the flowers are in bloom.
