Charles P. "Chuck" Stracuzzi of Prospect St., Kingston died unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 on Long Island. He was 48.
He was born in New Rochelle on October 25, 1959, a son of Carmela Ann Cavalier Stracuzzi and the late Charles P. Stracuzzi. Mr. Stracuzzi was a graduate of Rye Neck High School, class of '77. He married Carol Paulo on November 17, 1979.
A longtime resident of Mamaroneck, he moved to Kingston in 1989. He belonged to St. Joseph's Church and the B.P.O.E., Kingston Lodge.
For 25 years Mr. Stracuzzi was a maintenance mechanic for Waldbaum's Supermarkets, Montvale, NJ. He territory included southern New York and he belonged to Local #30, Operating Engineers Union, Richmond Hill.
An avid outdoorsman and fisherman, he volunteered at the Nickerson Park campground, Gilboa.
Surviving, in addition to his mother of Florida, and wife Carol Paulo Stracuzzi; are four sons Charles Stracuzzi and his wife Azra of Saugerties; Brian, Justin and Patrick Stracuzzi all of Kingston; one daughter Monica Stracuzzi of Kingston; one sister Valerie Funigiello of Carmel; two brothers Ronald and Kenneth Stracuzzi, both of Margate, FL; one granddaughter Gabriella Stracuzzi; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Reposing at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral will be Saturday at 9:15 AM from the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Montrepose Cemetery.
