Charles E. Herzog

Charles E. Herzog of Lauren Tice Rd., died Monday, November 15, 2010 at Ten Broeck Commons Nursing Home. He was 72. He was born in New York City, a son of the late Frederick and Zita Dueppe Herzog. Mr. Herzog served in the army and was employed at the former Independent Cement Co. He enjoyed hunting, camping and watching NASCAR and football. Surviving is his wife, Teresa Mazzuca Herzog; four sons, Larry, Nicholas and Corey of Saugerties, Brian of Hudson; three daughters, Donna Newkirk, Cindy Wilson and Leslie Morgan, all of Saugerties; two brothers, Don Herzog of Albany, William Herzog of Palenville and five sisters, Rita McCullough of Allentown, PA, Dolores Fiore of Kingston, Barbara Scharschu of Glasco, Mary Sarro of Lake Katrine and Carol Hughes of Saugerties and eight grandchildren, Christopher and Heather Wilson; Lindsay Newkirk; Spencer and Avery Herzog and Jacob, Rachel and Matthew Morgan. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Two sons, Michael and Eric Herzog; two daughters, Ashley and Melissa Herzog and a brother Robert Herzog died previously. Friends will be received at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston on Thursday from 2 4 & 7 9 PM. A funeral procession will form at 9:00 AM on Friday at the funeral home and process to St. Mary of the Snow Church in Saugerties . Interment will military honors by Joyce-Schirick Post 1386 VFW will be in Mt. Marion Cemetery.
