Celia Eichler, 76, of Kingston, died Saturday, October 21, 2017 at her residence at Palmer House.
Born in Paterson, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Edna Davison Eichler.
Cece, as she was known by her ARC family, was very social. She loved greeting people throughout the day and sitting outside on the porch. She could often be found drinking a hot cup of tea with cream and sugar or sipping a cup of Coca-Cola in the late afternoon as she watched the staff cook dinner.
She enjoyed music, her favorite song being Amazing Grace, and her favorite singer was Rod Stewart. When she would hear Stewart singing Hot Legs, she would start to dance in her seat!
Cece loved the simple things in life. She loved to color in her coloring books, and always enjoyed the Boston-Terrier Therapy dog that visited Palmer House on Mondays. She loved looking nice and always had to wear a pin on her shirt, a hair clip in her hair, have a beaded bracelet on, and have her nails painted.
Celia will be dearly missed by her many friends and family of the ARC of Ulster.
Cece will be reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Cantor Bob Cohen officiating.
Burial will follow at Montrepose Cemetery.
