Cathleen Howard

Cathleen Howard, 72, of Kingston, NY, passed away on Wednesday January 11, 2024 at home. She was born on September 28, 1951, in Kingston, daughter of the late James and Joan (Conlon) Howard.

She was a member of the first graduating class (1969) at John A. Coleman Catholic High School in Kingston. Cathy later graduated from Mt. Saint Mary Nursing College in 1973.

While in Boston she worked as an ER Nurse for New England Medical Center, Faulkner Hospital, and the Boston Children’s Hospital. She also worked at Benedictine Hospital in Kingston. Recently she was a nurse for Linwood Spiritual Center in Rhinebeck.

She enjoyed vacationing in Cape Cod, baking for family and friends (especially her famous Christmas cookies), Irish Music and attending Irish festivals, but above all spending time with her friends and family. She enjoyed exploring and documenting the genealogy of the Reilly clan. 

She was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Ladies Auxiliary. She was a very involved member of St. Mary’s RC Church in Kingston.

Cathy is survived by her sister, Christine Howard of Kingston, her sister-in-law, Louise Howard of Saratoga, as well as many nieces, cousins, and friends. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother, Dennis Howard.

Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Thursday January 18, 2024 from 4pm to 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Friday January 19, 2024 at St. Mary’s RC Church, 160 Broadway, Kingston, NY. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Kingston.
