Catherine McGahan

Catherine McGahan, 99, of Kingston, NY, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2023, with her family by her side. She was born on August 14, 1924, in Hurley, NY, daughter of the late Francis and Margaret (Stauble) Howard. She was married to the late William H. McGahan who passed away on May 4, 1983.

Catherine is survived by her children, Maureen (Joe) Dally, William (Kathleen) McGahan, Steven (Lorraine) McGahan, Kathleen McGahan, Eileen (Dennis) King, John (Cheryl) McGahan, Gerard McGahan, Philip (Lynn) McGahan, and Melissa Riccio, her siblings, Margaret Mearns, Patricia Hall, Thomas Stauble, and Paul Stauble, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, neices, nephews, cousins and other dear family members. In addition to her husband and parents, Catherine is predeceased by her siblings, Howard Stauble, Charles Stauble, Marianne Havens, and Frances Rowe.

She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and was deeply loved by her family and friends.

Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Kingston, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Friday December 15, 2023 at St. Joseph’s RC Church, 242 Wall St., Kingston, NY 12401. Burial will follow in Wiltwyck Cemetery, Kingston, NY.
