Catherine Marec

Catherine Marec, 94, of Hurley Ave., Kingston, died Thursday, July 22, 2010 at the home of her dear friends Lenore and Pablo Borau of High Falls. She was born July 24, 1916 in Corsica, France to the late Antoine and Antoinettte (Ricci) Bronzini.

She was the wife of the late Gilles Marec, who died on august 18, 1959.

Mrs. Marec was a graduate of Hunter College, having earned her Bacelors Degree, and in 1965 her Master Degree in French Literature.

Catherine was the Office Manager for the Cardillo & Sorbett Law Firm, of Manhattan, having retired in 1991. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church. She was an accomplished seamstress, making her own clothes; she was a perfectionist in everything she did.

Catherine is survived by her dear friends Lenore and Pablo Borau, family in France and several other dear friends.

Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston. Friends may call on Tuesday from 8:30 - 9:30 am. The procession will form on Tuesday at 9:30 am and proceed to St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church where at 10:00 am a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Burial in St. Raymond's Cemetery, Bronx.
