Catherine (Hyde) Locke, 90, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday January 12. She was surrounded in her final days by friends, family, and cats that loved her. She was born in Watertown, NY to Albert and Ella (Whalen) Hyde. Catherine was the only daughter and is preceded in death by her brothers Albert, Charles, Robert, and David.
Catherine survived her husband, William Locke. She was a loving mother to four children. She is survived by her daughters Nancy, Susan, and Brenda and is predeceased by her son Jimmy (Michelle). She was a wonderful grandmother to Robert and Margaret (Philip) and Gigi to Lily and Austin. Catherine is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Catherine was a longtime member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Woodstock Riding Club, and Coast Guard Auxiliary.
The family wishes to express sincere gratitude to Ron and Bryan Drummond, Dawn Castel-Lorick, Sherry Ralph, and the team at Hudson Valley Hospice led by Jen, who provided Catherine with loving care and dignity in this last phase of her life.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to All For The Love of Whiskers Pet Rescue, who brought Catherine her beloved Happy at PO Box 125, Kerhonkson, NY 12446.
Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Friday, January 17, 2025, from 12pm to 3pm with the funeral service taking place at 3pm. Burial will take place in the spring at Brookside Cemetery, Watertown, NY.
