Catherine J. Winchell

Kingston - Catherine J. Winchell of Old Neighborhood Rd. died Saturday, August 20, 2016 at HealthAlliance Hospital, Broadway Campus. She was 80. She was born in Marlboro, the daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine Meade O'Brien. On September 3, 1954 she married James Winchell. Catherine graduated from Kingston High School. She was the manager of the family business, C & J Self-Storage. She enjoyed stock car racing, the Yankees and animals. Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, James A. Winchell Jr. and his wife Peggy of Olivebridge; Allen Winchell of Kingston and a daughter, Brenda LaVoie and her husband Joseph of Charleston, SC. Six grandchildren, Amanda Murray, Melissa Winchell, Allen Winchell, James Winchell, Kimberly Winchell and Brandon LaVoie and five great-grandchildren, Thomas Murray, James Jeudy, Maysen Winchell, Elizabeth Murray and Emily Winchell and her former daughter-in-law Bonnie Winchell also survive. Her daughter-in-law Eileen Winchell and two brothers, Barth and Joseph O'Brien died previously. Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston where friends will be received on Wednesday from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at which time funeral services will be conducted.
