Carolyn Lee Van De Mark, 66, a lifelong resident of Kingston, died Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at HealthAlliance Hospital Broadway Campus.
Born in Kingston, she was a daughter of the late Gordon & Carolyn Van Kleeck Hyde. Carolyn was a beautician at Mickey's Hair Salon and then worked at Hannaford for the last 20 years. She was a Sunday school teacher at Old Dutch Church, loved kids and animals, reading, needlepoint and crossword puzzles.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of 40 years, Michael Van De Mark, whom she married on May 20, 1973, a son, Kurt Van De Mark of Kingston, a sister, Susan K. Hyde and her husband Douglas Huntington of Kingston, two aunts, Betty Lee Kight of West Hurley and Ella Carney and her husband Warren of Granite City, IL, a sister in law, Mary Glowinski and her husband Marty of Mt. Marion and a good friend, Judy Place of Poughkeepsie. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
The family will receive friends at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave on Monday from 5-8 PM.
Funeral Service and interment will be private.
