Caroline M. Ferraro, 94, of Kingston, died Friday, November 11, 2016 at the home of her daughter, Marilyn.
Born in Kingston, she was a daughter of the late James & Fortunata Naccarato Polacco, Sr.In her earlier years, Caroline was a seamstress with various garment factories in Kingston. She was a very devout catholic who prayed the rosary every day. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Mary's Church and a member of the Ladies Society of Santa Maria. Caroline enjoyed reading, cooking, baking and in her earlier years, dancing with her husband. Family was the most important part of her life. She was a very devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Caroline is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Bitonte and her husband Vincent of Port Ewen, Charlene Davis of Kingston, a brother, James J. Polacco, Jr and his wife Suzanne of Kingston, a sister, Joan-Marie Komosa and her husband Don of Cape Cod, MA, two grandchildren, Jarrod Davis and his partner Denise LaBar and Jessica Nicosia and her husband Jim, six great grandchildren, Riley Davis, Logan Davis, Josie Nicosia, Noah Davis, Owen Davis and Piper Nicosia.
In addition to her parents, Caroline was predeceased by her husband, Charles "Shanghi" Ferraro who passed in 1995, three brothers, Anthony, John and Charles Polacco.
Caroline will be reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave on Sunday from 3-6 PM.
The funeral procession will form from the funeral home on Monday at 10:00 AM.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Church.
Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
