Caroline Irene Snyder

Caroline Irene Snyder, 80, of Hoyt Street, Port Ewen, NY, died Thursday, August 6, 2009 at Ten Broeck Commons, Lake Katrine. She was born December 8, 1928 in Kingston to the late Frank and Agnes (Martino) Gilyardi. She was the wife of the late Vernon E. Snyder who died on October 15, 1987.

Caroline was a very active parishioner and communicant of Presentation R.C. Church, and had been a waitress at the Capri 400 Restaurant in Port Ewen for over 40 years.

Caroline is survived by her daughter Linda Lee Nelson, Kingston, NY, son Vernon E. Snyder, Jr., Pine Plains, NY, grandson David I. Nelson, Kingston, NY, granddaughter Tricia van Brakel, Redding, CT, brothers Louis Gilyardi, Webster, NY, Ernest Gilyardi, Kingston, NY, Anthony Gagliardo, Highland Falls, NY, sister Evelyn Perry, Connelly, NY several nieces and nephews. Mother of the late Timothy Mark Snyder, sister of the late Paul, Michael and John Gilyardi and Josephine Schermerhorn.

Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, where the procession will form on Monday at 9:15 am and proceed to Presentation R.C. Church where at 10:00 am a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Carl Johnson. Friends may call on Sunday from 2- 4 & 7 - 9. Burial in St Mary's Cemetery.
