Carole Ellsworth

Carole Ann Ellsworth, 85, of Port Ewen, NY, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2024, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. She was born September 18, 1938, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of the late Adrian and Eileen Brown Oster. Carole was a graduate of Kingston High School, class of 1957. She had been a receptionist for Kingston City Schools Consolidated, working at the district office on Crown St. for many years. 

Carole was a member of the Port Ewen Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, and was active in the Mid-Hudson Women’s Chorus, enjoyed ceramics, playing the guitar, and enjoyed camping. She liked to go to the gym, was involved in various classes and active in RSVP and volunteered at Benedictine Hospital. At the age of 70, she earned her black belt in Taekwondo. 

Carole is survived by her daughter, Dawn M. Ellsworth of Port Ewen, her daughter-in-law, Lisa Motluck, and her siblings, Ronald Oster and Linda Baker, both of Michigan. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her daughter Tina Ellsworth, her brothers Gerald, Richard, Larry, and Robert Oster and her sisters, Marlene Hogan and Patricia Savino.

Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 216 Broadway, Port Ewen, where family and friends may visit on Friday March 22, 2024 from 3pm to 6pm with the funeral service taking place at 6pm.
