Carol Ann Gilbert

July 30, 1945 — February 24, 2015

Carol Ann Walker-Gilbert, 69, of Port Ewen, passed peacefully from this life after a long battle with cancer. Carol was born at Harlem Hospital in New York City, on July 30, 1945 to the late John & Gussie Lee Gilbert. She attended Jamaica High School in Queens, NY. At an early age she married James Walker. To this amour two children were born, her daughter, Charlene Marie (predeceased her mother in death), and her son, Jason Aaron.

Carol surrendered her life to the Lord when she was a teenager, under the leadership of Rev. Gardner, First Baptist Church in Queens, NY. She was President of Hospitality at the Masters Touch DTRM under the leadership of Bishop Chris Williams. Her greatest joy in life was to witness to people of the "Goodness of God" which she continued to do until God called her home.

Carol went back to school in her early twenties to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. Twenty Years later she received her RN degree. She worked at Coney Island Hospital, Harlem Hospital and Joint Disease North General. She moved to Kingston, NY in 2001 where she worked part time at ARC & Golden Hill Nursing Home until the decline in her health. This season of helping others, brought her much joy and happiness.
