Carmen I. Schultze, 85, of Kingston, NY, formerly of Stone Ridge, NY and Bartlett, IL, passed away on November 12, 2024. She was born on May 24, 1939 in Austin, MN, daughter of the late Carl and Myrtle (Jorgenson) Shutt.
She was an Austin High School graduate, class of 1957. For many years she worked as a secretary for IBM in Kingston before she retired in 1996. Carmen was an active member of Evangelical Lutheran Church of The Redeemer, she was a member of WELCA and a church greeter. She was also a member of the YMCA.
She is survived by her children, Diane Schultze of Huntington Beach, CA, Robert Schultze of Newtown, PA, and Richard (Randee) Schultze of New Windsor, NY, her three grandchildren, Sara, Emma, and Jacob, sisters Georgia Knutson and Sharon Sudbrink, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Carmen is predeceased by her husband Vern Schultze who passed away in 2023 and her sister Virginia Hovland.
Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Monday November 25th, 2024 from 4pm to 7pm. The funeral service will take place at 10am on Tuesday November 26th, 2024 at Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 104 Wurts St., Kingston, NY. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Redeemer Lutheran, 104 Wurts St., Kingston, NY 12401.
