Carmen "Micki" Fischang of the Boulevard died Monday, Feb., 10, 2014 in Kingston just after spending time with her family on vacation in Florida. Micki was born in Kingston on September 7, 1953, the daughter of the late Charles and Charlotte Larkin Parry. She married the love of her life, James H. Fischang, Sr. on January 16, 1972. For 20 years, Micki was a Teaching Assistant working in the ISS department for the Kingston Consolidated School District most recently at Bailey Middle School. She loved her job and made shaping the minds of students who needed it most her number one priority. She also worked part time at Marshall's in the King's Mall. Her dedication and commitment to friends and family were beyond reproach, as her journey in life was never about superficial experiences. She gave immensely and made an impact that was felt by all who knew and loved her. She was a proud mother and grandmother who always put her family above all else. She enjoyed traveling to new locations and most of all playing with her grandson Jake who will miss her more than anyone. She always had a way to put him to sleep and he never cried in her arms. Surviving in addition to her husband is her son, James Fischang Jr. of Kingston, her daughter Jodi Arold and her husband Ryan of Saugerties and her grandson, Jake. Entrusted to the care of Paul Geary of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston where friends will be received on Friday from 3 - 5 & 7 - 9 PM. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Paul Britton at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Hurley Cemetery.
