Carmen G. Adorno

Carmen G. Adorno of Broadway, Kingston died Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at Kingston Hospital. She was 59. She was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, a daughter of the late German and Maria Adorno. Ms. Adorno moved to New York at age 6 and settled in Kingston. Over the years she worked as a housekeeper at I.B.M., Kingston, Hutton Nursing Home and the Children's Home of Kingston. One sister Elizabeth Adorno Huering ied previously. Surviving are two daughters Carmen Rosado of Kingston and Margaret Green and her husband Malik of Kingston; one sister Margaret Garcia of Tampa, Florida; one brother Raymond A. Adorno of Orlando, Florida; four grandchildren Joshua Knox, Cleaster Knox III, Jermin Knox and Malia Green; two great grandchildren Jaden Knox and Avani Marie Knox; many nieces and nephews. Reposing at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Sunday from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. A time of sharing will begin at 5:15 p.m Cremation will be in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
