Morris- Carmelo “Carmine” Alaimo of Coy Brook Road died Tuesday, March 09, 2004 at home. He was 74.
He was born July 11, 1929 in New York City, a son of the late Joseph and Josephine Alaimo.
He was an army veteran, serving during Korea. He retired in 1987 as a superintendent for the New York City Housing Authority.
Loving father of Barbara Jordan and her husband, Michael of Kingston, Kathleen Alaimo-Pacyga and her husband Dominic of Chicago, IL; Steven Alaimo and his wife, Margaret of West Nyack and the late Diane Alaimo and brother of Millicent Marciante and the late Mary Goards, Frances Mancino, Genevieve Rivera, Sally Munos, Rose Nucci, Salvatore, Angelo, Charles, and Louis Alaimo and grandfather of Gregory Paul Quinn, Johanna and Beatrice Pacyga and Elizabeth, Clare and Daniel Alaimo. Many, many nieces and nephews also survive.
Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral procession will form on Friday at 10:15 am from the funeral home. At 11:00 am, a funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph’s Church, Kingston. Cremation will follow in Wiltwyck Cemetery.
