Carmel R. 'Minnie' DeCicco, a longtime resident of Third Avenue, Kingston, died Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at the Carolina Nursing and Rehab Facility. She was 90.
Carmel was born in West Hurley on July 4, 1914, a daughter of the late Amadio and Elizabeth Dostillo DiAndrie.
For many years Carmel was a presser at the former Jacobson Shirt Factory and former Fuller Shirt Factory, Kingston.
A parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Church, Kingston, Carmel was a member of the Ladies Society of Santa Maria, Kingston Point.
Her husband Carmina P. 'Pat' DeCicco died May 29, 1996. Her son James DeCicco died March 9, 2001. Three brothers Charles, Frank and Anthony DiAndrie and two sisters Maria Lemister and Betty Zablocki all died previously.
Surviving are two sons Ronald DeCicco and his wife Deborah of Saugerties, and Paul DeCicco and his wife Joretta of Scottsdale, AZ; two daughters Judith Hunley and her husband Charles of Cary, NC and Carol Steltz and her husband Daniel of Raleigh, NC; one daughter in law Kathleen A. DeCicco of Kingston; two sisters Josephine Smith of West Hurley and Julia Dunn of Kingston. Her grandchildren Allan, James Jr. and Joseph DeCicco, Charles Jr. and Eric Hunley, Cynthia Taylor, Geraldine McAlexander, Teresa DeLozier, Daniel Steltz Jr., Mark and Devan DeCicco and Phillip Robinson. 14 great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, nieces and nephews also survive.
There will be calling hours at the funeral home on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Monday morning between 8:15 and 9:00 AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Immaculate Conception Church, Kingston at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Kingston.
