Carman F. Milano, Sr. of East Chester St., Kingston died Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at the Victory Lake Nursing Center, Hyde Park. He was 77.
A native an lifelong Kingston resident, he was born February 18, 1931, a son of the late John and Louise Costa Milano.
Mr. Milano served in the US Navy from 1947 - 1951. He was a life member of both the American Legion Post 150, Kingston and the V.F.W., Post 9595, Shokan.
For 38 years he worked as a crane operator for Conrail. He retired in 1991. Mr. Milano was an avid hunter, fisherman, golfer and bowler.
Two infant children John and Lisa Milano, four brothers James, Michael, Leo and Pasquale Milano, three sisters Mary North, Anna Clearwater and Antoinette Grillo; and his step father Frank Amarello, all died previously.
Surviving are his wife Patricia Amato Milano; three daughters Juli Donahue and her husband Richard of Ulster Park, Rosemary Rodriguez and her husband Angel of Kingston and Jennifer Kearney and her husband Martin of Kingston; three sons Carman F. Milano Jr. of Kingston, Joseph Milano and his wife Kimberly of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Andrew Milano and his wife Rachael of Kingston; two sisters Rose Nichols and Victoria "Dolly" Scott, both of Kingston; ten grandchildren Mitchell and Jamie Radell, Isabella, Alessandro and Catarino Rodriguez, Alexis Upton, Christopher and Julia Milano, Joseph and Giada Kearney; six great grandchildren Mitchell, Makayla, Spencer, Chase, Kyla and Emma; a dear friend, Ernestine Smith of Lake Katrine, many nieces and nephews.
Reposing at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be conducted on Monday at 12:00 at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
