Carl H. Meyer, 86, of Kingston, died Sunday, February 22, 2015 at his home.
Born in Hamburg, Germany, he was a son of the late Wilhelm & Elsa Schmuck Meyer. Carl married his wife of 59 years, Marlies Boettger Meyer of Kingston, on October 8, 1955. In 1956, he and his wife immigrated to the United States. Carl worked for IBM from 1965-1993. He was awarded several patents and coauthored the book "Cryptography" and was currently writing a book on Werner Heisenberg. In addition to his wife Marlies, Carl is survived by his two daughters, Margit Meyer and her husband Robert Yeary of Ulster Park and Jutta Meyer of Kingston, two grandsons, Charles & Thomas LaBounty and three great grandchildren, Jackie, A. J. and Ayden. One niece also survives.
