Carl E. Bowen

Carl E. Bowen of Ravena died Sunday, April 10, 2011 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. He was 59. He was born in Maine, the adopted son of Pauline Bowen of Canaan, ME and the late Elmer Bowen. Mr. Bowen served in the Marines and Army National Guard and formerly worked for the U.S. Postal Service. He worked as a bus driver for the Dutchess County Loop service. He enjoyed camping, fishing and woodworking. Surviving in addition to his mother, are two sons, Corey Bowen and his wife Jennifer of Saugerties and Jason Bowen and his wife Susan of Pearl City, HI; his adopted daugter, Donna Dickerson of Highland and his companion, Josephine Craft Bowen of Ravena. Five grandchildren, Zachary Bowen, Brayton Houghland, Kaylin Bowen, Kasandra Bowen and Shane Bowen also survive. Cremation was private. Arrangements are by Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 albany Ave., Kingston.
