Bruce Swierc

We regretfully announce the passing of Bruce A. Swierc, 48, of Torrance, California, who died unexpectedly September 29, 2021.

Born in Kingston. He was the son of Edward Swierc and Diane Swierc Dousharm.

As a youngster Bruce had a passion for the Beastie Boys and skateboarding of which he passed on to his children. Bruce was a loving devoted son, husband, father, and friend to many. He was a kind soul who brought joy and comfort to many and positively touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing him. You could always count on Bruce to bring a smile to all those he encountered with his humor and quick wit. Family meant everything to Bruce. He was a shining light to us all and he will be deeply missed.

Bruce leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife Marissa Swierc, of Torrance, California, his mother Diane Dousharm, of Rhinebeck, his father Edward Swierc, of York, Pennsylvania, three children, Marcus Soto, Ethan Soto, and Chloe Swierc all of California, his beloved Maltipoo Dooch, many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and devoted friends.

Bruce is predeceased by his maternal grandparents Sidney and Gertrude Tabakman, and paternal grandfather Edward S. Swierc Sr.

Bruce will be reposing at the Simpson-Hammerl Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave on Tuesday October 5, 2021, from 4-7 PM.

Simpson-Hammerl Funeral Home is honored to assist the family of Bruce with the arrangement.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorial donations be made to his daughter Chloe Swierc via a Gofundme page that will be announced at a later date.
