Bronislaus J. "Brownie" Swieca, 96, of Kingston, died Friday, January 29, 2016 at HealthAlliance Hospital Broadway Campus.
Born in Lackawanna, NY, he was a son of the late Joseph & Rose Potowora Swieca. Brownie was a veteran of WWII having served in the US Army. He owned and operated B. J. Swieca Plumbing & Heating for many years until his retirement. He loved people and fishing.
Brownie is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Alice Saban Swieca, whom he married on December 7, 1946 and who passed in 2012, four siblings, Edward Swieca, Helen Paluch, Sophie Zajas and John Swieca.
Brownie will be reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 from 11:00 AM -12:30 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Colman's Church at 1:00 PM.
Interment, with military honors by Joyce-Schirick Post 1386 Color Guard, will be in Wiltwyck Cemetery.
