Blanche H. Lutz, 95, of Ten Broeck Commons, formerly of Port Ewen, died Thursday, December 3, Ten Broeck Commons. She was born August 1, 1914 in the Bronx, the daughter of the late John and Anna (Dadik) Salzer.

She was the wife of the late Sergeant Major Frank "Sarge" Lutz; he died on June 2, 1970. Mrs. Lutz had worked at Kingston Woven Labels in Port Ewen and then worked as a nurse's aid having at the Benedictine Senior Residence until her retirement.
Mrs. Lutz was a parishioner of Presentation RC Church, was a life member of the Women's Club at Presentation RC Church, had been an active member of the Town of Esopus Senior Citizens and had been a Girl Scout leader.

She is survived by her daughter Irene C Ferraro and her husband John Ferraro of Saugerties, sister Claire Mulvey, East Chester, NY, sister in law Jean Lutz, Fort Ann, NY, grandmother of Clarissa Yetter, Judith Berg and Laura Barley, 5 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Julius Salzer and Irene Guliano.

Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral Service, Inc., 216 Broadway, Port Ewen. Friends may call on Tuesday from 2- 4 & 7 - 9. The procession will form on Wednesday at 9:30 am and proceed to Presentation R.C. Church where at 10:00 am a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
Burial in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
