Blanche Cartier of 80 Washington Avenue, Kingston died Thursday, March 18, 2010. She was 90.
She was born in New Haven, CT, a daughter of the late Henry and Juliette J. Lupien Cartier.
Blanche attended High School in Patterson N.J. and then moved to Indiana. She moved to Kingston in 1956 and lived on Groff Street for many years.
She started work at IBM, Kingston in 1956 as an Executive Secretary and retired in 1987.
Blanche belonged to Beta Sigma Phi sorority while attending Sherwood Secretarial School in Patterson, NJ. A parishioner of St. Catherine Laboure Church, she was a member of the Rosary Society. Blanche also belonged to the Leisure Club, AARP, the Hurley Seniors, IBM Quarter Century Club, and the National Secretary's Association.
Blanche is survived by many dear friends and cousins in Connecticut.
Reposing at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Friday from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. The funeral procession will form on Saturday at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Catherine Laboure Church at 10:00 a.m. A luncheon at the Hoffman House, North Front St., Kingston will follow.
Interment will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven, CT on Monday at 1:00 p.m.
