Blake D. Gibbs, 47, of Kingston, New York, passed peacefully on Monday, December 24, 2018 at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York
He was born on April 5, 1971 in Kingston, New York and was the son of Mark Toney and the late Linda Gibbs.
He was a graduate of Kingston High School, Class of 1989. Blake had been a counselor for the Youth Mentoring program and then worked for Health Alliance Hospital as an intake coordinator.
Blake was a joy to his family and friends. He enjoyed spending time with his loved ones, organizing many gathering and outing. He impacted the lives of many people in the community and, above all, he loved helping anyone who was in need.
He was an accomplished artist and loved to fish. He was an enthusiastic sports fan, often hosting parties for boxing, football, and basketball games, opening his home for all who wanted to come. For many years he coached basketball in the local youth recreation leagues.
In addition to his father, he leaves to cherish his memory his beloved daughters, J'nae Gibbs and Nadia Gibbs, his older sister, Noelle Monk, twin brother, Blaine Gibbs, and siblings Ross Gibbs, Lydell Thomason, Jerri Brooks, and Chantay Toney; His love, Melissa Moore, and her children Makayla Moore, and Spencer and Chase Radell, who all became family. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday January 5th from 4 to 6 pm. All are welcome
