Beverly L. Chrisey

Beverly L. Chrisey, 78, of Kingston, died Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Ten Broeck Commons.

Born in Saugerties, she was a daughter of the late Leonard & Dorothy Geary Wolven. Beverly was a graduate of Kingston High School and Sheddans Beauty Academy in Newburgh. She enjoyed working as a 4H Leader, Cub Scout Leader and Girl Scout Leader and working with all kinds of crafts. She was very involved as the Treasurer of the New York State Navy Seabee Auxiliary, Treasurer of The Navy Seabee Island X-9 Auxiliary and Treasurer of the Town of Kingston Senior Citizens.

Beverly is survived by her husband of 59 years, Ronald E. (Seabee) Chrisey of Kingston, two daughters, Dawn Marie O’Brien and her husband Michael, of Kingston, Brenda Lynn Pleugh and her companion, Gary of Sweetwater, TN, a brother, Eugene Geary Wolven and his wife Margot of Easton, PA, two grandsons, Michael Hoyt and Ronald Chrisey and two granddaughters, Caitlin and Ariele Pleugh. Nine great grandchildren, Bradley,Angelina, Michelle, Joseph, Aubrey,Arizel, Nirvana, Nicholas and Layla. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, Beverly was predeceased by a son, Robert Chrisey, four siblings, Linda Ashley, Donald Wolven, Catherine Wolven and David Lee Wolven.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the Hurley Reform Church at 11:00 AM.
Entombment of Beverly’s cremated remains will follow in the Hurley Reformed Church Columbarium.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Hurley Reformed Church Columbarium Fund, 11 Main St, Hurley, NY 12443 or St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
