Beverly Ann Freer

Beverly ''Bev'' Ann Freer, 81, of Main St, Saugerties, passed peacefully Monday morning, September 23, 2013 at Health Alliance Hospital, Broadway Campus, Kingston. She was born March 25, 1932 in Orono, Maine the daughter of the late Walter J. and Marie Power Ouellette.

She was a graduate of The Academy High School, Portland, Maine, Class of 1951, The School of Retailing, Boston, Massachusetts and Columbia Green Community College, with her associates in child development. She had been employed by Family of Woodstock in the Saugerties Seedling program and St. Mary's of the Snow Elementary School.

Bev was a parishioner of St. Mary's of the Snow RC Church, Saugerties, was the former president of the Altar Rosary Society, and a member of the Girls Community Club of Saugerties.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, William T. Freer, Sr.; they wed on July 12, 1958 in Sanford, Maine. Her children William T. Freer, Jr. and his wife Debra of Saugerties, Robert J. Freer and Elizabeth A. Freer of Glasco, Steven W. Freer and his wife Kelly of Kingston and Kathleen Studt and her husband Keith of New Windsor, grandchildren, Mallory E., Carly J. & Brendan K. Studt, Courtney A. Lyons, Steven J. Freer and Robert J. Freer, Jr. a sister Jean Carey of Wappinger Falls, a sister in law Maureen Ouellette, Florida, several nieces and nephews and was predeceased by a brother James Ouellette

Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, Friends may call on Wednesday from 7 - 9 and Thursday 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm. The procession will form on Friday at 10 am and proceed to St. Mary's of the Snow where at 11:00 am where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
