Bertha Coddington, 99, of Greensboro, NC, formerly of Kingston, NY died Monday, January 1, 2018 in Greensboro.
Born in Wallkill, NY, she was a daughter of the late William & Lovisa Steinhillber Ferguson.
In her early years, Bertha worked as a seamstress in a factory in Kingston. She then became a homemaker and raised six children. Bertha was an avid doll collector and had a vast collection. In her later years, Bertha enjoyed going to car shows with her son, Clinton and was an honorary member of the Skulls Car Club.
Bertha is survived by four sons, Lester Coddington, Jr. and his wife Susan of Riverside, CA, Norman Coddington and his wife Gertrude of Colorado Springs, CO, David Coddington of Salt Lake City, UT and Clinton Coddington and his partner, Bridget Kelly of Greensboro, NC. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, Bertha was predeceased by her husband, Lester Coddington, Sr, two children, Richard Coddington, Dolores Dolan and nine brothers and sisters.
Bertha will be reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave on Monday, January 8, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon. A Funeral Service will be held at noon at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Montrepose Cemetery.
