Bernice Kent of Woodstock died Friday, January 7, 2011 in her home. She was 96.
She was born in Bethlehem, PA, the daughter of the late Barney and Minna Solon Wald.
Bernice had three passions in her life. In her younger years she was an accomplished tap dancer. She and her partners performed in the Vaudeville circuit. Later in her life she became one of the foremost and well respected antique jewelry dealers in the country. Above all else she was passionate about her family and friends and loved them all unconditionally.
Her husband, Dr. Howard R. Kent, died May 5, 1995.
Surviving is her daughter, Barbara Ross of Woodland Hills, CA; her granddaughter, Stacey Levin and two great-granddaughters, Sydney and Jordan Levin.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, 12:00 PM at Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston. Rabbi Jonathan Kligler will officiate. Interment will be in Woodstock Cemetery.
