Beatrice M Schiff

Beatrice ''Sissy'' Mulford Schiff, 88, of Schoolhouse Lane, Hurley, died Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Kingston Hospital. She was born December 7, 1923 in Kansas City, MO a daughter of the late Timothy Whitfield and Leda Hutchings Mulford.


Sissy graduated from the Barstow School, 1940, Pine Manor Junior College in 1942 and attended Northwestern University.


On August 9, 1943, she married William Schiff Jr. at St. Thomas Church in New York City. Mr. Schiff died March 19, 1998.


A homemaker, "she was the best mom, grandmother and great-grandmother we could ask for and we will all miss her."


Surviving are her daughter, Pam Schiff, and two sons, Tim and his wife Karen Schiff and Bill Schiff; her grandchildren, Bill and Pokey Schiff; Terry and Emily Schiff; Sarah and Rusty Hernandez; Tim and Chelsea Schiff and her great-grandchildren, Riker and Seldy Schiff; Mariah, Christian and Lylah Hernandez and Cooper Schiff.


In addition to her husband, Sissy was predeceased by her oldest son Terry and her sister, Elizabeth deGroff.


Entrusted to the care of Eric Keyser of A. Carr and Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave., Kingston. A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Hurley Reformed Church.
