Beatrice Kreppel Arlensky

Beatrice Arlensky of Washington Avenue died Friday morning at Benedictine Hospital after a short illness. She was 91. She was born in the Bronx on April 24, 1915, a daughter of the late Jake and Jennie Wachtel Kreppel. A lifelong area resident, for 30 years she worked at Miron Liquor, Kingston. She was a member of Agudas Achim, Kingston. Mrs. Arlensky loved to play cards, Maj Jong, Bingo and trips to Atlantic City. She was an avid Met fan. Her husband Hymie died April 12, 1976. Three brothers Herman, Irving and Joseph Kreppel and one sister Gertrude Muller Elsky all died previously. Surviving are one son Norman Arlensky and his wife Janet of Wilmington, NC; two daughters Marlene Arlensky of Ellenville and Caren Burt and her husband Douglas of Saugerties; her grandchildren Tafford 'TJ' Oltz and his wife Beth, Kim Schumann and her husband Brad, Shelly McGowan and her husband Mike, Hyla and Bryan Burt; her great grandchildren Alicia and Jonathan Oltz, Rebecca Schumann, Dylan and Davis McGowan; three sisters Ros Epstein of Del Ray Beach, FL, Hencha Kogan of Winona, Minnesota and Tally Langer Parnett and her husband Alvin of Kingston; her sister in law Adel Kreppel of Kingston, two special nieces, Robyn and Mindy Langer. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday at 10:00 AM at Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Rabbi Yitzcok Hecht of Congregation Agudas Achim will officiate. Interment will be in Montrepose Cemetery.
