Beatrice (Krom) Albright, 95, of Kingston, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2013 at home. She was born August 6, 1918 in Kingston to the late Irving and Addie Krom. She was married to Frank A. Albright. Frank passed away on June 13th 1984.
Over the years Bea worked for many local department stores such as Woolworth's, Big Scott's, Mohican Market & Britt's. She also mended and altered clothing for many years at home. Her great work ethic was on display when she and her friend Lib Vernoy laid the foundation of her house where she passed away. Bea loved bowling and would often travel around the country to bowl in various tournaments. She was a member of the Kingston Women's Bowling Association for over 50 years and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2006.
She is survived by her son, Edward J. Albright and his wife Joyce of Kingston, her grandchildren, Deborah, Denise, Doreen, Michael, Darrin & Kristine, seven great grand children, as well as her brother Edwin Krom of Town of Ulster and her daughter in law Agnes "Cookie" Bieglesen of MD. In addition to her husband and parents she is predeceased by her son Frank J. Albright and her siblings, Irving Krom Jr., Marion Saehler and Ethel Paulus.
Entrusted to the care of Luke Keyser of A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave, Kingston, where friends may call on Tuesday from 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, Kingston. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to American Heart Association, PO Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220-3049
