Barbara Walter

Barbara A. Walter, 80, of Rifton, NY' died June 17 , 2012 at her daughters home. Born in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Joseph & Anna Wholmaker. She loved animals and camping. Barbara is survived by her children, John Walter and his wife Maria of Lake Katrine, Rusty Terwilliger and her husband, Floyd of Saugerties, Barbara Walter of Albany, Anna Walter-Zilla and her husband Herb of Lake Katrine, William Walter and his wife Lori of Lake Katrine, Louis Walter and his wife Rose of Glendale, Charlie Walter and his wife Sandy of Florida, Joseph Walter and his wife Teri of Glendale, Robert Walter and his wife Mary of Glendale, brothers, John Wholmaker and his wife Arlene of Catskill, Ernest Wholmaker and his wife Louise of Woodhaven, Michael Wholmaker and his wife Betty of Long Island , a sister, Shirley Riley of PA., 11 grandchildren, Heidi, Ilona, John, Krystal, April, Louis, William, Elizabeth, Karrissa, Samantha and Emily, one great granddaughter, Serenity Rose. Many nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Louis Walter, who died in 1992 and a son, Edward Walter. Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany, on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at the funeral home at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Kingston.
