Barbara Marie Chatham

May 13, 1932 — June 12, 2014

Barbara (Snyder) Chatham, 82, formerly of Kingston, NY, passed away on June 12th 2014 at Ten Broeck Commons in Lake Katrine, NY. She was born on May 13, 1932 in Kingston, to the late Carl and Mary (Squire) Snyder.


Barbara was a 1950 graduate of Kingston High School where she was May Queen, drum majorette, and a cheerleader. She was an avid animal lover. For over thirty-five years Barbara worked for Kingston Hospital as an executive secretary.


Barbara is survived by her daughter Pamela M. Mills of Saugerties, and her companion James Decker, her sister, Jeanine Crispel of Ruby, five grandsons, Michael Wood, Benjamin Chatham, Shane Chatham, Ryan Chatham, Travis Mills, three great grandchildren, Jessica, Christian, and Gianna, her daughter in law, Beth Chatham, as well as her nephew Wayne Crispel.


She was predeceased by her children, Stephen K. Chatham and Leona J. Wood.


Entrusted to the care of Luke Keyser of A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave., Kingston, NY 12401, where friends and family may visit on Monday June 16th from 10 to 11am. The service will follow at 11am at the funeral home. Burial in Hudler Cemetery in Mt. Tremper, NY.


The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Barbara to Ulster County SPCA, 20 Wiedy Rd, Kingston, NY 12401.
