Babette Gade

Babette Anna Forst Gade, born on March 13, 1924 passed away on January 22, 2024. The daughter of Caroline and Henry Forst, Babette was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Doctor Herbert E. Gade. Babs’ and Herb’s life together began in 1948 in Bavaria, where Herb headed the US Military hospital in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. They then spent a charmed life travelling around the globe and spending 32 winters in their beloved India. Babette was a member of the Junior League of Kingston and the Ulster Garden Club. She actively supported many organizations in Kingston and the Hudson River. She leaves behind her daughter Hilarie Gade and partner John Peters, daughter Kristina Gade-Diels and husband Jean-Pierre Diels, grandsons Loïc and Didier Diels and four great grandchildren.
