Audrey Dorothy Kelse, 91, of Kingston, passed Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at St. Peter's Hospital, Albany. She was born January 13, 1924 in Kingston, the daughter of the late Gustav and Marguerite Koch. She was the wife of the late John W. "Jack" Kelse, they wed on January 6, 1944, Jack passed on April 26, 2011.
A life long area resident, Audrey was a graduate of Kingston High School, class of 1942. She had worked for NY Telephone Company for 25 years. A devoted and lifetime member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, she had sung in the choir, taught Sunday school, helped with many events at church and was in the WELCA.
Audrey is survived by her children, John W. Kelse Jr. of Ansonia, CT., Linda M. LeFevre and her husband Neil of Kingston, grandchildren Christopher LeFevre of Scotia and Michele, Robert LeFevre of California, Laura LeFevre and her husband Michael Beaudette of Gansevoort and Kimberly Glooch and her husband John of Hartford, CT, four great grandchildren, her brothers Harry Koch and his wife Ruth of Altamont, John Koch and his wife Janet of Kingston and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter Joyce C. Kelse and a brother Gustav C. Koch.
Entrusted to the care of Eric Keyser, Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston. Friends may call on Friday from 3 - 7 pm. The service will be at 10:30 am. Burial in Wiltwyck Cemetery.
