Arthur William Lavigne of Linderman Ave., Kingston died Friday, July 6, 2007 at Kingston Hospital. He was 47.
He was born in the Bronx on September 26, 1959, a son of the late Arthur and Barbara Guthridge Lavigne. Following the death of his parents, Arthur was raised by his maternal grandparents, William and Mary Guthridge. A longtime resident of Red Hook, Mr. Lavigne graduated Red Hook High School and attended Hudson Valley Community College.
For many years he was the caretaker at the Guest House, Kingston, he later worked area at Shoprite stores, and recently as a self employed contractor. An avid bowler, he participate in leagues at Hoe Bowl and Mid-City Lanes, Kingston, Rollin' Lanes, Red Hook and The Coves in Massachussetts. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, Esopus.
His parents and sister, Michelle, died in April 1972.
Surviving are his wife Kimberly Nunamacher Lavigne of Kingston, one step son Matthew Wiltsie of Kingston, two step-daughters Krystal and Ashley Wiltsie, both of Kingston; one brother Rick Lavigne of Poughkeepsie; and good friend Jo Ann Cella of Kingston.
Reposing at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Monday 7-9 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, Esopus on Tuesday at 10:00 AM. Inurnment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Barrytown on Friday at 2:30 PM.
