Arthur R. Anderson

Arthur R. Anderson, age 86, of Broadway, Port Ewen died Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at Golden Hill Health Care Center, Kingston. Mr. Anderson was born January 23, 1922 at Bronx, NY the son of the late Emil and Elsa Westergren Anderson. He served in the Merchant Marine during World War II. Graduate of NYU, class of 1950, he had been employed in the aerospace industry as an engineer.

Formerly of Massapequa, he moved to this area five years ago, when on Long Island he was a avid runner and was a member of Massapequa Road Runners, active member and communicant of St. Rose of Lima RC Church, Massapequa, he was a communicant of Presentation RC Church, was a member of the Town of Esopus Senior Citizens Club, he loved the beach, reading and dancing.

He is survived by his children Dr. John A. Anderson of Port Ewen, NY, Cathy A. Langan of Amityville, LI, Jean-Marie Strong of Fayetteville, NY and Robert Anderson of Amityville, LI
Four grandchildren, Predeceased by a sister, Ethel Bonte, and a brother, Herbert Anderson

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 1:00 at Presentation R.C. Church, Father Kelly Drive, Port Ewen, Father Peter Vianney celebrant
