Arthur P Fries

Arthur P Fries, Jr, 92, of Palenville, NY, died Sunday, August 22, 2010 at The Kingston Hospital. He was born December 16, 1917 in Queens, NY, to the late Arthur P. and Anna Seissenbyttle Fries. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth R. O'Brien who passed away on Dec. 21st, 2001.




A graduate of Pratt Institute he was employed in engineering at Rotron Inc., Woodstock, NY until his retirement in 1978. He was past member of the Palenville Fire Dept., Scout Master and Founder of Troop 100, owner of Fries Real Estate in Palenville and proprietor of Fries Gun Shop and Collector Guns in Palenville.




Father of Patricia A. Naccarato and her husband John R., Arthur T. Fries and his wife Margaret, Susan M. McConekey and her husband Robert J. and Michael P. Fries. Grandfather of Jacqueline Naccarato Tamburello, Dr. Christine McConekey-Biel, Anne Marie Badalato, Dr. Katherine Fries DeCristofaro, Meghan Kmiotek, Alison McConekey, John P. Naccarato and Dr. Robert P. McConekey. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren, many nieces & nephews.




In addition to his wife and parents he is predeceased by two sisters, Lillian Staib and Irene Lotterhos also one brother Harold A. Fries.




Entrusted to the care of the A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave, Kingston, NY 12401, where the procession will form on Monday at 9:15am and proceed to St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church where at 10:00 AM a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.




Burial will follow in Palenville Cemetery, Palenville, NY.
