Arthur Grossbohlin, 90, of Kingston, NY, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at his home in Kingston, NY. He was born on July 6, 1934 in East Rutherford, New Jersey and was the son of the late Arthur J. Grossbohlin and Mary M. Canney.
Arthur was married to his wife of 70 years Barbara Joan Douglas on April 18, 1954 at St. Joseph's Church in Kingston.
Arthur worked for IBM, in Poughkeepsie and Kingston, NY starting in 1952. In his early career he apprenticed to become a journeyman tool and die maker. As the company changed it's focus he went on to roles in mechanical engineering, MIS, systems analysis and financial analysis before ultimately retiring in 1986.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Grossbohlin and son John Grossbohlin; grand children Jesse, Joshua, Sara and Mary; four great grandchildren; and sister Patricia Spaul.
Arthur is preceded in death by his parents, siblings Roger and Howard, and sons Michael and William.
