Arthur Fiore Jr.

Arthur Fiore, Jr. of Oakwood Drive, St. Remy died Tuesday, November 18, 2008. He was 74. He was born in Kingston on November 4, 1934, a son of the late Arthur and Myrtle Frances Straub Fiore, Sr. A graduate of Kingston High School, he attended Hartwick College, Oneonta. Mr. Fiore served in the National Guard. Mr. Fiore married Jane Schweinler on June 30, 1963. During the 1960's Mr. Fiore worked with his father at Arthur Fiore & Sons Electricians. He took over the business after his father's retirement and continued as a Licensed Master Electrician. He retired in 2006. A parishioner of St. Mary's Church he belonged to the St. Mary's Benevolent Society, Kingston Point. Surviving is his wife of 45 years, Jane Schweinler Fiore; two sons Arthur Fiore III of Sawkill and Bill Fiore and his wife Kim of Ruby; one sister Terry M. LaLima of Warrenville, Ill., one brother John Fiore and his wife Helen of Tillson; one granddaughter Savannah Paige Fiore; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Reposing at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral procession will form on Saturday at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
